Do Rolex watches hold their value?
Most people think that buying a watch is like buying a new car, the moment you take them from the shop they instantly decrease in value. However with Rolex watches this couldn’t be further from the truth. Purchasing a Rolex is an excellent idea if you’re looking to invest your money in jewellery. The brand’s products can actually hold their value and in some cases appreciate in the future. The key to keeping the value of your Rolex increasing is to make sure you take care of the timepiece and store correctly when you’re not wearing it.
Are Rolex watches a good investment?
A watch is an excellent investment for those looking to purchase something that will hold its value. However if you’re looking to put your money into something with the mind that you will make money back, then we would advise you do your research and purchase a timepiece that is well thought about.
Some of the best Rolex watches to invest in are also extremely popular with Rolex collectors and enthusiasts. The Rolex Explorer, Rolex Submariner and Rolex Daytona models are all fantastic investment pieces. Why not consider purchasing a pre owned Rolex watch from Miltons Diamonds?
Which Rolex watch is the most popular?
The answer to this question may differ from person to person, however here at Miltons Diamonds we have put together our top five pre owned Rolex models;
Whether this is your first Rolex watch or not, it is important to carefully consider your purchase prior to sealing the deal! Many Rolex watches are made to sit with specific outfits, however there are some styles that are not created to these specifications. If this is your first Rolex then think about the model you are wanting to invest in, as there are many models and this may create confusion prior to purchase. The Pre Owned Rolex Air King Watch is an ideal pick for those just starting their investment timepiece collection.
How can I tell if a pre owned Rolex is real?
There are a number of ways to ensure the watch you’re buying is real and not fake, however our first tip would be to make sure you trust the seller. This is an extremely important factor which should not be taken lightly.
- Serial & model numbers – on any real Rolex watch you will find that the markings are engraved in perfect fine lines. On older Rolex watches you can find these between the lugs when the bracelet has been removed, on newer Rolex you can see the serial number on the inner Rehaut. Fake Rolex watches generally have low quality markings, making them easy to spot.
- Stampings – some replica Rolex watches won’t bother to add these to the bracelets and if they do, you will find that are extremely low quality and not precise enough.
- Dial – the dial of a real Rolex watch will always be perfect, poor replica styles may have uneven blotchy fonts and misspellings.
- Casebacks – Rolex does not tend to engrave their casebacks (only in some instances). If your Rolex has engravings on it then chances are it is a fake or replica watch. A popular fake Rolex Cosmograph Daytona has ‘Daytona’ engraved on the back of the case.
As we are stockists of pre owned Rolex watches, we ensure each of our timepieces have been expertly referenced against technical documents and manufacturer records to ensure authenticity and a clean history. This gives our customers confidence that they are investing in a real pre owned Rolex model. Each product description states what the item comes with in terms of authenticity, for example box and papers.
Where is the serial and model number on my Rolex?
The model number of any Rolex watch can be found between the lugs of the watch at 12 o’clock and the serial number can be found between the lugs at 6 o’clock, behind the bracelet. This should be a 4-8 digit number and can help determine the production date of the item. On newer Rolex watches the serial number can be found on the inner Rehaut and the space between the lugs at 6 o’clock can be blank.
