Patek Phillippe has just celebrated it's 175th Anniversary. It was first founded by Count Norbert Antoine de Patek in 1839, and he was later joined by Jean Adrien Phillippe in 1845. Since then Patek Phillipe has not only survived but thrived on it's reputation for creating the highest-quality mechanical watches, some with extremely complex and complicated movements.
