More modern designs from the Datejust collection still contain the Rolex essence, but with a refreshed look that combines superior materials with coloured dials that give a truly unique look.

The most notable change in recent years is the Rolex Yacht-Master 116655 which in 2015 was released with a rubber strap.

Rolex Sea-Dweller

You may be noticing a theme with the sea-related names of Rolex watches! This version or design variant of the Submariner offers a superior water resistance feature that was developed using a first in watch technology – a helium escape valve patented by Rolex for the Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller in 1967. There’s a breath-taking version of the original Rolex Sea Dweller in the form of the Deepsea Challenger Edition watch that was specifically made in honour of the film director James Cameron who completed a head-line grabbing descent to the Challenger Deep at the bottom of the Marianas Trench. The Rolex Sea-Dweller watches echo masculinity and style from every angle. In 2017 Rolex introduced a new Sea-Dweller which benefits from a Cyclops magnifying the date window and features red text.

Since it’s introduction to the world in 1954, the Rolex GMT-Master displays the amazing innovation of its time period as it was designed in liaison with Pan American Airways for it’s navigators and pilots. The inventive feature of the display of two time zones alongside a 24 hour display served the needs of its design muse well. Ideal for the jet set, this watch makes travelling easy and follows the same robust design as many of the divers watches, making it the perfect daily watch.
