Sizing, The 4 Cs, Metals & Our Favourite Rings In Store
Whether you're buying a ring as a gift for a loved one or as a treat for yourself, we've put together this guide to help you navigate the sometimes tricky journey of finding the perfect ring. We'll cover how to find the right ring size, the four Cs of diamond quality, the various metals to choose from, and a selection of our favourite engagement, wedding, eternity and statement rings currently in store.
There are many ring size charts available online as well as physical ring sizers, both of which can be used to determine your ring size. A plastic ring sizer can be placed around the chosen finger and tightened to a snug fit to reveal your true ring size, or you can measure with a piece of string wrapped around the finger and compared against the chart below. If you're buying as a gift, take a ruler to an existing ring and measure the inside diameter, then match it to the nearest size below. The thicker the band, the tighter the fit, so a deep bandwidth ring will likely need to go up one size.

Yellow gold has been worn as a symbol of love and commitment for centuries, and remains a favourite for wedding and eternity rings for its warmth and durability. White gold has become the modern choice for engagement rings, its cool, versatile finish suited to diamonds of any shape.
Platinum shares white gold's pale brightness but is denser and naturally hypoallergenic, holding a stone more securely over a lifetime of wear, at the cost of a little extra weight. Mixing metals, yellow alongside white, has become a popular way to wear a two-tone ring with a more contemporary finish.
Once you have the ring size noted, you can move onto metals and styles. If you're buying as a gift, pay close attention to existing ring designs to tune into their jewellery tastes — if they tend to wear yellow gold, follow suit, and if they have a favourite gemstone, consider building around it. We have many different ring styles to choose from in-store and online, from vintage designs to more contemporary pieces, so you're bound to find the perfect ring with us.
