The dial is what makes this watch stand out. The features of a Paul Newman Daytona that stand out the most are the Art Deco font used on the dial and the contrasting minute track rings. It also features squares at the end of the indices on the sub-dials.

When they were first released, the dials weren't considered desirable and the watch wasn't as popular as other models. It is estimated that 20 regular Daytona dials were produced per every 1 Paul Newman dial.

In October 2017, one of Paul Newman's personal Daytona watches set the record as the most expensive Rolex watch ever sold, at auction for £17.8 million! This then, of course, caused an overwhelming demand for Daytona watches.

Paul Newman’s original Daytona watch was gifted to him by his wife. He later gifted the watch to his daughter's boyfriend at the time, who then sold the watch in Auction.
